It's really happening!
The audio master and all the art files have been sent to the duplicator and the order placed. The day when i have the CD's in my hand is closer than ever!
Also, I won the song contest at The Fiddler's Frolics Festival in Halletsville last weekend. It was really fun hanging out with friends and hearing the other songs and eating a corny dog and seeing those amazing kid fiddlers. I'm putting the prize money right into redesigning my website. Wahoo!
Abi's new CD will be released on MoonHouse Records!
The release date is set for early June. Read more about our glamorous signing party in the Blog.

Harmony and Hope
Abi is working away on her new CD. Meanwhile she recorded harmony vocals for Brian Kremer's latest album and is getting obsessed with politics. Read more in the Blog.
Mixing New CD
The new CD is getting closer to done every day. Over the past few weeks, we've had some great vocal sessions, added pedal steel, and now Chris is mixing and filling in empty spaces. I'll post a new tune on mySpace soon...
Abi returns to the studio in December
The brand spankin' new MoonHouse Studio is ready to rock! Abi and Chris and whomever else they can round up are gonna do their damnedest to finish recording these new songs before the end of the year. And what a gorgeous and super-functional space it is. Abi is so excited to get back to work and be the first project in this new space that is sure to become an Austin landmark.
Cool Shows This Week
Abi will play a couple of great shows this week in Austin.
Thursday is a benefit for Groundwork Music Project at the Scoot Inn with lots of Austin's best bands and songwriters. The trick is, they'll all be playing covers of artists that influenced them!
Then Saturday morning, it's the Downtown Farmers Market. Wake up and celebrate the fact that food still grows in Texas in December! And it's always cinnamon roll season...
Details for these and all upcoming shows: here.
Abi eats Turkey!
I've got a week off for Thanksgiving. It's my 2nd favorite holiday after New Year's Eve. I'm going to cook my favorite recipes, especially the Fig and Port Cranberry Sauce. Yum!
Great Show at Cactus Cafe onThursday!
Opening for John McEuen Friday at Threadgills!
Abi will make her debut at Threadgill's Beer Garden in Austin this Friday, November 9. She'll open for John McEuen , founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are $15.
Listen in that morning to KGSR to hear Abi and John on air at 9:20.
Lots more great shows coming up in November. Go to the Shows page for more listings.
Friday at Momo's!
Just added a last minute show at Momo's this Friday. It must be meant to be because even Lauren and Brian were free, so we're going to rock the whole trio there. Wahoo! Please come see us and don't be late, cause we'll only play for 1 hour. It will be action-packed, though.

HAAM it Up!
Abi gets her teeth cleaned and cavities filled thanks to the Heath Alliance for Austin Musicians . On Tuesday, October 2, businesses all over town will donate a portion of their income to this awesome organization and there will be all sorts of free shows by the musicians who benefit. Abi's 11am performance at City Hall was recommended by the Statesman and she'll be on KVUE 24 in the 6am hour to talk about the benefit. If you have to wake up early, tune in. And be sure to shop at a participating business !

Thanks to the Mountains!
I had an amazing trip to Colorado and Utah! Thanks to all the folks that made it out to the shows and to the geo-thermal history that made this part of the country such a pleasure to drive through. Read more at the Journal. New England, you've got to follow a very tough act, but I know you won't let me down! See the Shows page for August East Coast tour dates.
